If you look around your surroundings on a work lunch break, chances are, you will find a bevy of co-workers and passers by glued to their smart phones. Like a true addiction, we are not able to put those things down for love nor money.
My lunchbreak yesterday was a breath of fresh air.
Mrs Bunny popped in a with a bag of goodies and we set off for a cosy little bench outside work away from the smokers and smart phone junkies. We shared a cheese sandwich and I was treated to a small container of choc chip ice cream. Maybe not the most healthy food but that was irrelevant. We had a wonderfully romantic thirty minutes in the sunshines together during a work day.
We didn’t need a flash, overpriced cafe. Nor, did we require fancy food. Another reminder of how the little things, the simple things even, can bring you the most joy. Maybe it’s time you embraced the concept of a romantic lunch date with your partner? Or maybe even, it’s time you put your smart phone away on a sunny day and got outside in the sunshine to smell the roses so to speak.
