Why money won’t buy you happiness!

This morning Mrs Bunny and I woke up to the fact that, aside from a scrimp of milk and a few tea bags, we had absolutely no food in the fridge of cupboards.  I guess normally you would go food shopping.  Our problem was that we only had $1.04 to our name.  $0.84 in our bank account and $0.20 in coins.

Having not had any food since yesterday morning I decided we should venture out and get a packet of biscuits to tide us over for the day.  So off we went to the local grocers and a short time later we returned with a cheap packet of biscuits to have with our cup of tea.

Amid all this we both realised how happy we are together, despite having next to no money, we have each other and that for us, is more than enough.

I know of people who have plenty of money in the bank, own a nice home and drive a respectable car yet they are never happy and most likely never will be happy simply because they are never satisfied.  They see only $$$ signs as a pathway to happiness.  This pathway will never end because they will never be truly happy with their lot in life.

Even if you are doing it tough and soldiering on, as long as you have the right people around you there is every chance you will always be a happy little vegemite.
