Making other people happy made easy!

Dallas and I have been friends for almost 20 years now.  We don’t often see each other.  When we do it is like  we only spoke the day before.  Recently it was that time of the year for Dallas.  Her birthday.  She’s never been one for celebrating her birthday.  Like myself, it’s just another day on the calendar for her.

Just for fun I popped in to see Dallas with Mrs Bunny at her place of work last Wednesday to say hi and wish her a happy birthday.  With me I took a cheeky little strawberry cake with some candles on top.  We sang happy birthday, all out of tone and had her laughing the whole way.  The smile on her face was priceless.  A cheeky bit of fun that left her blushing and guaranteed the rest of the day would be a good one regardless of what would lay ahead in her day of work.  The other girls in the office were already eyeing off the cake before we finished our sing song.

Sometimes you just need the simple things in life don’t you?

One thing I know for sure is that I get a far greater kick out of making other people happy because my own life is already brilliant in every way.

Maybe you should make it your goal this week to do something nice for someone else?  Imagine how much better this world would be if we made more effort to put a smile on other peoples faces instead of our own?
